Students will perform CPR and use an AED for adults, children, and infants. They will demonstrate proficiency in relieving choking in adults, children, and infants as both a solo responder and as part of two-person team using a bag valve mask (BVM) for ventilation.
After completing an online course, students attend this 2 hour skills session to review resuscitation of an adult patient in cardiac arrest or a peri-arrest situation. With this training, you will better understand how to reduce mortality adult patients suffering from cardiovascular problems, including acute coronary syndromes and acute ischemic strokes. There is an emphasis on CPR, team interaction and communication.
After completing an online course you will attend this 2 hour skills session to review how to assess, care for and resuscitate pediatric patients with respiratory, shock, and cardiac emergencies. With this training, you will be better prepared to understand how to reduce mortality of pediatric patients. Skills and treatments of potential and actual pediatric victims of cardiopulmonary emergencies.

The 2nd edition of NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course is a 2-day course that teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in an active shooter or other civilian tactical environment. This course is accredited by CAPCE for 16 hours of continuing education credit, and recognized by NREMT.
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC-AC) is a 1-day course designed to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. This course is best suited for law enforcement officers and other first responders with limited medical training. The Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) course focuses on critical pediatric physiology, illnesses, injuries and interventions to help EMS practitioners provide the best treatment for sick and injured children in the field. The course stresses critical thinking skills to help practitioners make the best decisions for their young patient. Students complete an online portion prior to attending the 4-hour classroom session.

This 4-hour course was originally delivered at the National Conference on EMS in 2019. It is designed to educate EMS providers on the history of modern day active shooter events and discuss the paradigm shift of the response to these incidents.
There will be ample instruction on tourniquet use and other bleeding control techniques that can used not only during critical incidents but during every day responses. Participants will receive 4 CEUs for this course.
A 2-hour course intended to give you the tools to verbally de-escalate potentially volatile situations while improving your ability to communicate more effectively in general. Attendees will be awarded 2 CEUs.
The importance of writing a concise report that accurately documents what occurred during a call can not be overstated. Court proceedings often happen years after the call, and a well- written report might be your only recollection. Students will be immersed in an interactive experience complete with mock legal proceedings.
