Chris Sharpe began his EMS career in 1988 as a volunteer and became an EMT in 1990. He attended paramedic school at Hahnemann University where he received a certificate in Paramedic Science. Chris worked for Hahnemann University Hospital as an Emergency Department technician in 1993 ultimately becoming a nurse in 2002 and a nurse practitioner in 2015. He simultaneously began working for Virtua EMS in 1993 as a paramedic where he worked in a variety of roles including staff paramedic, Sr. Staff Paramedic and Asst. Field Operations Chief. He transitioned to an education role in 2013 after 20 years in operations. Chris left Virtua in 2019 and continues to work as a nurse practitioner and paramedic. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and certified Tactical Paramedic as well as Nationally Certified EMS Educator through the National Association of EMS Educators. Chris lives in Delran with his two good boys, Tank and Dozer.
