Mental Health First Aid

Similar to how CPR aids in assisting individuals during a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid equips you to support someone undergoing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. Our comprehensive course covers essential aspects, including identifying risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction issues, providing strategies for assisting individuals in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and guiding you on where to seek help.

We provide both adult and youth versions of the Mental Health First Aid course, ensuring that you're prepared to offer assistance across various age groups.

CPR

American Heart Association CPR/ AED -These trainings are video-based, instructor-led course that teach adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. These courses teach skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

All Hazards Disaster Response

The All Hazards Disaster Response (AHDR) course teaches students how to respond to the many types of disaster scenarios they may encounter, including natural disasters and infrastructure failings, fires and radiological events, pandemics, active shooter incidents, and other mass casualty events. Airway

This course provides EMTs with a thorough review of airway management techniques. It emphasizes patient assessment, the anatomy and physiology of airway structures, and the recognition and treatment of common conditions that necessitate airway management. Students will have ample opportunities for hands-on practice with airway adjuncts to maintain or restore airway patency.

Medical

This course provides EMTs with a comprehensive review of medical assessments, treatments, and the management of various medical conditions. It focuses on common medical emergencies that EMTs are likely to encounter in the field.

New Jersey EMT Refresher- C

Trauma

This course offers EMTs a comprehensive review of trauma assessment, treatment, and the management of a wide range of traumatic injuries. It focuses on common trauma-related emergencies that EMTs may encounter in the field.

Participants will revisit the anatomy and physiology of key body systems as they relate to trauma, and will examine injuries such as head and spinal trauma, fractures, burns, and more.

Anatomy of An Active Shooter Event

This 4-hour course was originally delivered at the National Conference on EMS in 2019. It is designed to educate EMS providers on the history of modern day active shooter events and discuss the paradigm shift of the response to these incidents.

There will be ample instruction on tourniquet use and other bleeding control techniques that can used not only during critical incidents but during every day responses. Participants will receive 4 CEUs for this course.

DRUGS: From the City to the Suburbs

This course provides an overview of legal and illicit drugs EMTs, Paramedics, and other first responders might encounter on the street. Packaging, routes of ingestion, physiological effects and other details will be discussed. The presenter is a veteran Paramedic/Police Officer who has experience as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). 2.0 CEUs will be awarded.

De-Escalation for EMS

A 2-hour course intended to give you the tools to verbally de-escalate potentially volatile situations while improving your ability to communicate more effectively in general. Attendees will be awarded 2 CEUs.

Report Writing for EMS

The importance of writing a concise report that accurately documents what occurred during a call can not be overstated. Court proceedings often happen years after the call, and a well- written report might be your only recollection. Students will be immersed in an interactive experience complete with mock legal proceedings.

Inside the Crime Scene

This course is designed to teach EMS providers to function effectively while limiting disruption of crime scenes. By improving situational awareness, EMS providers can assist law enforcement with their investigation while still ensuring that patient care is always the priority. As part of this class, students will walk through a mock crime scene for a realistic view of the concepts being presented.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care

The 2nd edition of NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course is a 2-day course that teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in an active shooter or other civilian tactical environment. This course is approved for 12 BLS and 16 ALS CEUs.

Prehospital Trauma Life Support

Basic Life Support

Enroll in our American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Classroom Course for an immersive and hands-on learning experience. Our course is designed to equip you with the essential life-saving skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies. You'll learn the proper techniques for CPR and how to use an AED on adults, children, and infants.

HeartCode ACLS

After completing an American Heart Association online course, students attend this 2-hour skills session to review resuscitation of an adult patient in cardiac arrest or a peri-arrest situation. With this training, you will better understand how to reduce mortality adult patients suffering from cardiovascular problems, including acute coronary syndromes and acute ischemic strokes. There is an emphasis on CPR, team interaction and communication.

PALS Provider

HeartCode PALS

After completing an American Heart Association online course, you will attend this 2-hour skills session to review how to assess, care for and resuscitate pediatric patients with respiratory, shock, and cardiac emergencies. With this training, you will be better prepared to understand how to reduce mortality of pediatric patients. Skills and treatments of potential and actual pediatric victims of cardiopulmonary emergencies.

After completing an American Heart Association online course, you will attend this 1-hour skills session to review how to apply the topics covered in the basic life support course.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECCLEO) teaches first responders to manage life-threatening injuries in situations where seconds matter. It is designed to decrease preventable deaths in tactical situations. This course is great for police or other first responders with limited medical training.

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)

The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program is a community partnership of law enforcement, mental health and addiction professionals, individuals who live with mental illness and/or addiction disorders, their families, and other partners to improve community responses to mental health crises.

CPR

American Heart Association BLS provider course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam and receive a two-year certification.

Advanced De-escalation techniques for law enforcement

This 8-hour course is designed to build upon foundational skills taught in police academies and in-service training. The curriculum takes participants beyond the basics, with a goal of decreasing use-of-force incidents, increasing public confidence, and enhancing overall officer performance.

Maritime Preparedness Hub

Basic Maritime Active Shooter Preparedness

This 2-hour course equips maritime professionals with essential skills to respond effectively to active shooter incidents. Topics include historical trends, the Avoid, Barricade, Defend methodology, and managing distractions. Participants will learn cover and concealment principles, pre-attack indicators, and how to safely interact with law enforcement. Bleeding control techniques will be demonstrated, and a vessel walkthrough will be conducted at the end of the session to allow attendees to employ the tactics covered in the course and identify potential vulnerabilities. Critical thinking under stress is emphasized to enhance preparedness and response.

Cost: $2,000. A 10% discount will be applied when 5 or more sessions are booked.

Advanced Maritime Active Shooter Response

This intensive 8-hour course expands on the foundational principles of the 2-hour Active Shooter Awareness course, providing a deeper, hands-on approach to emergency response. In addition to core topics, participants will engage in Stop the Bleed training and multiple scenario-based drills designed to test and strengthen crew readiness under realistic conditions. With a strong emphasis on practical application, this course ensures personnel are fully prepared to respond effectively in high-stress situations.

Cost: $5,500 for up to 30 attendees. A 10% discount will be applied when 5 or more sessions are booked.

De-escalation

This interactive 3-hour course equips participants with essential skills to navigate tense situations and defuse conflict effectively. Attendees will learn when allowing someone to vent may be more effective than immediate intervention and how to use verbal and non-verbal techniques—including tone, inflection, and body language—to influence behavior.

The course also explores reflective listening, the impact of implicit bias on communication, and the power of using “I” statements to foster positive interactions. Designed for professionals across various industries, this training enhances confidence in handling challenging encounters while promoting safer, more productive outcomes.
