This 4-hour course was originally delivered at the National Conference on EMS in 2019. It is designed to educate EMS providers on the history of modern day active shooter events and discuss the paradigm shift of the response to these incidents.
There will be ample instruction on tourniquet use and other bleeding control techniques that can used not only during critical incidents but during every day responses. Participants will receive 4 CEUs for this course.
$40 This course provides an overview of legal and illicit drugs EMTs, Paramedics, and other first responders might encounter on the street. Packaging, routes of ingestion, physiological effects and other details will be discussed. The presenter is a veteran Paramedic/Police Officer who has experience as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). 2.0 CEUs will be awarded.
